The invention relates to concentrating and defluoronation of phosphoric acid widely used in manufacturing compound fertilizers, feed phosphates and phosphorous salts. A method of concentrating and defluorination of phosphoric acid involves vacuum evaporation in mixing with aqueous component, absorption of fluorine from juice vapor coming from the evaporation unit. The aqueous solution is used as aqueous component supplied into the zone with excess pressure in a circulation loop of the vacuum unit in an amount of 0.2-0.4 ton per 1 ton of POand the juice vapor is discharged at the fluorine content being 0.8-1.2.
