PURPOSE: A method for controlling an inverter for driving a rotation electric motor is provided to protect the inverter, by maximizing braking torque of the rotation electric motor in case of inverter malfunction. CONSTITUTION: A current and a voltage are acquired from a current detector and a voltage detector connected to an inverter(1002). Malfunction of the inverter due to generation of an over-current or an over-voltage is checked(1004). A switch of the inverter is turned off when the malfunction of the inverter is checked(1006). A DC link voltage is acquired, and motor speed of the rotation electric motor is acquired(1008). Duty ratio is decided according to the motor speed of the rotation electric motor and the DC link voltage of the inverter(1010). An upper phase switch or a lower phase switch of the inverter switch is turned on/off according to the decided duty ratio(1012). The deceleration of the electric motor speed is checked(1014). |
