<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water electrolyzer capable of excellently carrying out the hydrolysis of water by uniformly distributing water to each water flow passage to uniformly and surely supplying water to the whole water channel. <P>SOLUTION: The water electrolyzer 10 is provided with an anode-side separator 34 and the water channel 54 is provided in the anode-side separator 34. The water channel 54 is provided with a plurality of the water flow passages 56, an arcuate inlet buffer part 58a and a arcuate outlet buffer part 58b. One end of each water flow passage and the arcuate inlet buffer part 58a communicate with each other through a plurality of inlet connection passages 60a and each of the plurality of inlet connection passages 60a is set to a different angle with respect to the tangential line at the connection parts which are connected to the arcuate inlet buffer part 58a.
