<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device improving steering angle returning performance in returning after steering while inhibiting increase of the steering force and steering torque in large steering angle. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit 10 controlling driving of a motor 1 for steering assistance includes a steering return control unit 24 calculating target assist torque by adding steering return controlling torque calculated based on the steering angle to basic target assist torque. In the steering return control unit 24, when the steering angle is less than a predetermined return control set angle, the steering return controlling torque is set opposite to the steering angle direction, whereas when the steering angle is the return control set angle or more, the steering return controlling torque is set zero or in the steering angle direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
