<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor drive system that can drive a plurality of AC electric motors by using one drive unit (power converter), can use stators which are the same in winding methods of windings, can suppress a rise of cost in the whole system, and can reduce copper loss by suppressing the generation of a cross current. <P>SOLUTION: In the electric motor drive system which drives n-pieces (n is an integer of 2 or larger) of the AC electric motors by using one inverter 400, for example, two sets of AC electric motors 101, 201 which can apply terminal voltages not higher than 1/2 of a voltage which can be output from the inverter 400 are tandem-connected to each other, windings of the AC electric motors 101, 201 are connected to each other in series for each phase, and phases of induction voltages are made to coincide with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
