PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device reducing the number of signal lines between a driver substrate and a control substrate of an LCD, reducing power consumption and noise during data transmission, and achieving cost reduction. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes an LCD panel 2, an LCD control circuit 31 controlling the LCD panel 2, a gate driver 42 to which a gate driver control signal is supplied from the LCD control circuit 31, and a source driver 41 to which a transmission signal including a source driver control signal and image data is supplied from the LCD control circuit 31. The LCD control circuit 31 superimposes the gate driver control signal to the gate driver 42 on the transmission signal to the source driver 41, and transmits the transmission signal on which the gate driver control signal is superimposed to the source driver 41. The source driver 41 separates the gate driver control signal from the transmission signal subjected to superimposition and transmission by the LCD control circuit 31, and transmits the separated gate driver control signal to the gate driver 42.
