摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of eddy current flaw inspection capable of detecting a flaw of a steel pipe, without having to utilize artificial flaws according to predetermined industrial standards, such as JIS, EN and ASTM. SOLUTION: The method of eddy current flaw inspection includes a step of selecting steel pipes 100F and 100R from among a plurality of steel pipes having mutually the same nominal outer diameter. The steel pipes 100F and 100R are arranged in a line. A gap-forming member 10 of a rigid body is formed between the two steel pipes 100F and 100R arranged in a line, and a gap having the size corresponding to the nominal outer diameter is formed between the steel pipes 100F and 100R. Next, the steel pipes 100F and 100R, having the gap forming member 10 are passed in between through an encircling coil to inspect the flaws in the gap. Then, the sensitivity of the eddy current flaw inspection device is set, based on the flaw detection signal generated by inspecting the flaw in the gap. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
