PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove cotton fly attached to the surface of a bottom roller and not to accumulate cotton fly in the vicinity of the bottom roller. SOLUTION: The bottom roller unit 30 of a draft machine includes a cleaning belt 32 under a third bottom roller 22. The cleaning belt 32 is wound around rollers 51 and 52, urged upward by a flat spring 53 attached to the roller 51 and consequently pressed against the third bottom roller 22. When the third bottom roller 22 is rotated, the cleaning belt 32 is rotated by frictional force to the third bottom roller 22, thus cotton fly attached to the surface of the third bottom roller 22 is removed by the cleaning belt 32 and conveyed. The conveyed cotton fly is scraped by a plate-like member 55 in contact with the cleaning belt 32 and then sucked by a suction nozzle 60. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
