PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile with a rear camera including a display part which an occupant can view, and a display control device for displaying images on the display part as specified by the occupant, for actualizing the display of the images picked up by the rear camera R on the display part during reverse operation by the occupant while improving the visibility of the images picked up by the rear camera and clearly displayed on the display part in the nighttime, without the need for changing a lighting means which lights on the rear side of a vehicle body into highly bright one nor increasing the installation number of lighting means. SOLUTION: The display control device C includes a brightness reduction control means Cb for keeping the brightness of the display part M lower during turning a light on than during turning it off, and a brightness reduction invalidating means RS for invalidating the brightness reduction control means Cb during reverse operation.
