<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately calculate stable and appropriate required frequency bands, without considerable variation, which do not include excessive frequency bands even during a transient period in which statistic multiple effects can not be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: An abnormal value is excluded from the observed traffic volume, a representative value is then calculated time-sequentially for the remaining observed traffic volume, and a traffic utilization rate indicating a ratio of the representative value with respect to communication frequency bands of an entire communication link is calculated respectively. If a traffic utilization rate is greater than a preset upper limit value and the observed traffic volume for the traffic utilization rate is less than or equal to the allowable traffic volume preset for physical frequency bands of the communication link, such a traffic utilization rate is set as an upper limit value, thereby calculating a corrected traffic utilization rate. An expected utilization rate of a communication line is calculated for each communication line on the basis of the time-sequential corrected traffic utilization rate for the communication line, and required frequency bands of the communication line to be newly required for a design target term are calculated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
