PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oily smoke purification device purifying oily smoke etc. generated during cooking, preventing adhesion of oil to an adsorbent etc. constituting a deodorizing means and avoiding decline in deodorization performance. SOLUTION: The oily smoke purification device 1 includes: a suction port 3 sucking oily smoke and odor; a main air course 4; an auxiliary air course 5; a damper 6 closing either one of the main air course 4 or the auxiliary air course 5; an air sending means 7 making air flow; and an exhaust port 8. An oily smoke removing means 9 and the deodorizing means 10 are arranged in the main air course 4 and the auxiliary air course 5, respectively. During cooking, the damper 6 closes the auxiliary air course 5 and oily smoke is removed by the oily smoke removing means 9 arranged in the main air course 4. After cooking, the damper 6 closes the main air course 4 and remaining odor is removed by the deodorizing means 10 arranged in the auxiliary air course 5. Thus, oil is not adhered to the adsorbent etc. constituting the deodorizing means 10, so as to prevent decline in the deodorization performance.
