<p>A device and method for optical network unit (ONU) integration are presented to solve the technical problems such as network organization difficulties and high cost in the system testing of current gigabyte passive optical network (GPON). The present invention integrates functions of multiple ONUs into one ONU integrated device, and enables simulation of up to 128 ONUs on a single chip. With the combination of the present invention and corresponding central processing unit (CPU) software system, when operating the fully-loaded testing of optical line terminal (OLT) device, only one device is needed to simulate fully-loaded configuration for each passive optical network (PON) port of OLT. Consequently the testing cost can be decreased, the structure of testing network can be simplified, and testing efficiency can be improved.</p> |
