PURPOSE: An air conditioner having a rotary heat exchange unit and a heat pump is provided to cool a condenser using condensed water generated from an evaporator in indoor cooling and prevent the wet compression of a compressor. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner having a rotary heat exchange unit and a heat pump comprises a heat exchange unit(70) and a condenser(35). The heat exchange unit heat-exchanges outdoor air flowing into indoor space with indoor air discharged to outside. The condenser heats air discharged after the heat exchange. The condenser heats supplied air using condensed heat of refrigerant. The heat exchange unit comprises a frame, a wheel, a heat exchange element, and a dividing unit. The wheel is installed in an inner closed space and rotates at a given speed. The heat exchange element is installed on the wheel. The dividing unit divides a space into first and second sections. In the first section, indoor air flows through the heat exchange element.
