PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method of driving the same are provided to supply a common voltage at the frame of a data signal by forming a common line receiving common voltage having different polarity alternately. CONSTITUTION: In a liquid crystal display device and a method of driving the same, a plurality of gate lines(GLn-1,GLn,GLn+1) and a plurality of data line lines(DLm-1,DLm,DLm+1) are formed on a first substrate. A plurality of pixels are formed at the crossing of the gate lines and the data lines. A thin film transistor is connected to a gate line and data line and is formed on the pixels. A storage capacitor and a liquid capacitor is connected to the one electrode of the thin film transistor. A plurality of common lines are connected to the other electrode of the storage capacitor and the liquid capacitor.
