PURPOSE: A strap buckling prevention structure for a clutch is provided to improve the torque transfer property of a clutch by preventing the buckling of a strap even when an excessive compressive force of rotational direction is applied to the strap. CONSTITUTION: A strap buckling prevention structure for a clutch comprises a drive rigid body, a pressure plate, a strap(23), and a protector(21). The drive rigid body is rotated with the torque provided from a power source. The pressure plate is connected to the drive rigid body via a spring. The strap restricts the relative displacement of rotational direction between the drive rigid body and the pressure plate while allowing relative displacement of axial direction. One end of the protector is fixed to one of the pressure plate and the drive rigid body while the other end is in contact with the other one so that the protector restricts relative displacement of rotational direction between the drive rigid body and the pressure plate.
