<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor memory device capable of accurately deciding whether an erasure of data of a memory block is normally performed, even when a power supply is interrupted during erasure operation of the data. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes an information storage means for storing address information for expressing an address value of the memory block to erasure stored data, with the address value being the erasing unit different from the memory block, and with flag information for expressing the erasure operating state of the memory block by associating them with each other; a setting means for setting the address value of the memory block operating the erasure to the address information, prior to the erasure operation being performed on the memory block and also setting the first value to the flag information related with the address value and for setting a second value different from a first value on the flag information related with the address value of the memory block, after the erasure operation for the memory block is completed; and a decision means for deciding whether the erasure operation of the memory block is normally completed or not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
