<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary device with a seal structure using magnetic viscous fluid, the rotary device including a rotor and a stator disposed coaxially to be relatively rotatable about an axis. <P>SOLUTION: In the rotary device with the seal structure using the magnetic viscous fluid, a surface of one of the rotor and the stator, the surface forming a gap between both, is partially formed of a nonmagnetic body, and the other of the rotor and the stator includes a magnetic field generation means disposed at a position to face the nonmagnetic body through the gap in a radial direction.
