PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system capable of surely transmitting signals while shortening communication time. SOLUTION: The lighting system is provided with a controller 1 equipped with a power line communication part 12 sending and receiving signals by power line carrier communication superposing high-frequency current on a power path 5 using a first carrier frequency, a lighting fixture 3 equipped with a power line communication part 32 sending and receiving signals by power line carrier communication superposing high-frequency current on the power path 5 using a second carrier frequency different from the first, and a group main unit 2 equipped with a power line communication part 22 sending and receiving signals of the first carrier frequency, a power line communication part 23 sending and receiving signals of the second carrier frequency, and a filter part 24 fitted on the way of the power path 5 for passing the signals of the first carrier frequency and shutting off signals of the second carrier frequency.
