PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push type key box which disables unlocking because a cushion spring is only bent even when a lock breaking action is taken, by two-pairing tumblers so as to increase setting patterns, and which can avoid an excessive load on an internal component by the cushion spring. SOLUTION: A lid of the push type key box includes front and rear housings. A rotary pin is pushed and released by a push release operation of a push button; the tumblers split into right and left pairs are pushed and released; and in this case, the tumbler pushed by a hinge claw of a tumbler hold plate is held/released to inhibit/release a motion of a lock plate.
