PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a DC power unit that makes control of a charge current to a battery without affecting a load end voltage, and applies to existing facilities easily. SOLUTION: The DC power unit is equipped with: a rectifier for converting AC power from a high-order power supply to DC power and supplying it to a load; and a battery charged by the DC power converted by the rectifier. The DC power unit supplies a discharge power of the battery to the load as required. The DC power unit is equipped with: a charging current control means of controlling a charging current of the battery; a discharging current control means of controlling a discharging current of the battery; and a control unit of controlling the charging current control means and the discharging current control means. The control unit controls the charging current control means according to at least one of an operation state of the high-order power supply and an operation state of the load, thus controlling the charging current.
