PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical movement base isolation device which demonstrates base-isolating effect to the vertical vibration by allowing miniaturization of the device itself. SOLUTION: The vertical movement base isolation device A is provided between an upper structure 7 and a lower structure 8 to demonstrate the base-isolating effect to vibration in the vertical direction T1 of the upper structure 7. The vertical movement base isolation device A includes a laminated part 1 composed by alternately laminating elastic bodies 4 and reinforcement bodies 5, 6, and a pair of pantograph parts 2, 3 respectively arranged on both sides in the horizontal direction T2 sandwiching the laminated part 1 for rotatably connecting upper ends 2a, 3a and lower ends 2b, 3b respectively to the upper structure 7 and the lower structure 8 and formed to be bent while including hinge parts 2c, 3c between the upper ends 2a, 3a and the lower ends 2b, 3b. The laminated part 1 is provided while connecting the reinforcement body 5 arranged at every other body in the laminating direction T1 to the hinge part 2c of one pantograph part 2 and by connecting the other reinforcement body 6 to the hinge part 3c of the other pantograph part 3.
