PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device, capable of suppressing string vibration while reducing the cost or mass of a guide member. SOLUTION: The power transmission device 1 includes stabilizers 21, 22 for guiding an end of a string portion of a power transmitting chain 4 to each pulley 2, 3. Each stabilizer 21, 22 includes a guide member 31 which abuts on the vicinity of the end of the string portion of the power transmitting chain 4, a casing 32 which movably supports the guide member 31, and a compression coil spring 33 which is disposed within the casing to bias the guide member 31 toward the string portion of the power transmission chain 4.
