PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle parking device which enables a user to park a bicycle and which assists the user to safely perform the operation that the user is required. SOLUTION: A bicycle parking device 10 includes: a stationary member 60, a holder 62 for holding a target wheel, which is either a front wheel or a rear wheel of a bicycle; a connecting device 80 for connecting the holder to the stationary member such that the holder is vertically movable relative to the stationary member; a driving device 110 for driving the holder; a locking device 150 switched between a locked state, in which the holder is locked to the stationary member, and an unlocked state, in which the locked state is canceled; a detecting device 250 for detecting the target wheel at the holder; an operating member 190; and a cooperation device 260 for causing, when the target wheel is held by the holder and the operating member is operated by a user, the detecting device and the operating member to cooperate with the locking device so that the locking device is shifted from the locked state to the unlocked state.
