<p>Disclosed are a device, method and program for image processing which can display 3D images having a more natural sense of depth. A panoramic image generation unit (25-1) extracts and composites strip regions (TRR) from a plurality of captured images which are continuously captured as an image capturing device (11) moves, generating a right-eye panoramic image (PR). Another panoramic image generation unit (25-2) extracts and composites strip regions (TRL) from the plurality of captured images, generating a left-eye panoramic image (PL). A parallax control unit (26) carries out parallax adjustment by detecting the dominant parallax from the panoramic image (PR) and the panoramic image (PL), and shifting the entire panoramic image in response to the detection result. A display unit (27) displays a 3D image having a more natural sense of depth by simultaneously displaying the parallax-adjusted pair of panoramic images. The current invention is suitable for use in cameras.</p> |
