A liquid storage tank 2 has a vapour pressure relief valve 4 and a second such valve 6 set to operate at a lower pressure, the valve 6 being rendered inoperative when the level of the liquid is above the level 5-5. The valve 6 is mounted on a standpipe 7 which may be thermally insulated and which extends from a liquid trap 8, wherein baffles 9 separate liquid out from the vapour in the standpipe and return the liquid to the tank through a pipe 10. |
