PURPOSE: An information system for a crosswalk is provided to secure safe driving while protecting a pedestrian by informing a driver of the existence of the pedestrian on the crosswalk in advance. CONSTITUTION: In an information system for a crosswalk, a pedestrian sensing unit senses a pedestrian. An adjacent vehicle sensing unit senses approaching vehicles. A remote vehicle sensing unit is installed the edge of the road or on the road and senses vehicles. A plurality of display panels(120) are installed in the edge of the road. The display panels are installed between a crosswalk sensing unit(110) and the crosswalk(5). The display panel displays an image of the crosswalk and pedestrian passing the road. A display panel control block(150) controls the display panel.
