<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and thin radio communication apparatus, an antenna having improved radiation characteristics, and a radio communication method. <P>SOLUTION: The radio communication apparatus 100 includes an antenna 91. The antenna 91 includes a ground plate 2 and a radiation element 3. The ground plate 2 is substantially rectangular and has long sides whose length is 1/4 wavelength of a frequency used or more and short sides whose length is less than the 1/4 wavelength of the frequency used, and has a notch 8 on one of the long sides at a distance shorter than the length of the short sides from a specific corner 2a of the rectangle. The radiation element 3 is connected to the specific corner 2a of the rectangle in the ground plate 2, and disposed along the long sides of the ground plate 2 in which the notch 8 is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
