PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal block capable of improving workability at the time of connecting an end part of wiring by tightening a screw. SOLUTION: The terminal block has a housing recessed part (13) to house a terminal screw set, and the housing recessed part has a hexahedron shape surrounded by a mutually opposed pair of parallel walls (14), a bottom wall, and a rear wall with two faces opened, and grooves (14a) capable of inserting a terminal plate (15) along the inclined direction to a face orthogonal to the installation face of the terminal block and the parallel walls are respectively formed inside the parallel walls. A taper portion (15a) which is inclined so that the thickness of the wall becomes thinner as it is nearer the opening end is formed at a site corresponding to the insertion position of a square washer inside the opening end on the terminal screw set insertion side of one of the walls out of the pair of parallel walls. Since the terminal plate is inserted along the grooves (14a) in a posture of the head part of the tightening screw (16) of the terminal screw set facing the opening side, the terminal screw set is housed in the housing recessed part.
