PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight and compact parasol with a small dimension when folded up, which has a narrow parasol width when extended in a triangle shape to cover the face of a user, is opened without hesitation even in the crowd so as to cut UV light, easily opens/rolls up parasol fabrics by the action of curved leaf springs, and also changes the direction of the parasol fabrics by a free joint (a universal joint) arranged in a parasol handle. SOLUTION: The curved leaf springs which are curled in a close contact manner in a spiral spring shape and extended straight when force is applied to the springs, are vertically attached in a straight state to inner sides along the center lines of the respective independent fan-shape parasol fabrics. By the extending and rolling-up action of the springs, the parasol fabrics are rapidly opened/rolled-up. The direction of the handle is freely changed by the free joint portion arranged in the handle of the parasol, and the rolled-up parasol fabrics can be compactly folded up in parallel with the handle.
