PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blower capable of suppressing a filter from being deteriorated if the degree of contamination of the air is high. SOLUTION: A sirocco fan 18 blows the air by operating a motor 20. In this case, the air suctioned inside an air cleaner 1 is purified through a highly functional filter 28 and is blown outside. A control section 9 decreases the blown air amount of the sirocco fan 18 by controlling the operation of the motor 20 if each detection result of degree of contamination of the air shown by a dust sensor 30 and an odor sensor 31 is higher than a predetermined degree of contamination of the air. This may eliminate an inconvenience that a large amount of the contaminated air passes through the highly functional filter 28 for a short time. Therefore, the function of the highly functional filter 28 may neither probably decline for a short time nor the highly functional filter 28 may probably cause a secondary offensive odor.
