<p>Provided is a ball screw which can prevent a bolt for affixing a deflector from loosening, can reduce noise, and can withstand the conditions of high-speed use. Internal thread holes (13) are formed in a deflector (9) which is disposed on the inner peripheral surface of a nut (2) so that both end portions of the deflector are positioned at both end portions of a ball returning member (5). The deflector (9) is secured to the nut (2) by two bolts (11) inserted into bolt insertion holes (15) formed in the nut (2). Furthermore, a scooping surface (19) of the deflector (9) is defined by a concave surface having a section perpendicular to the scooping direction of balls (8), said section having a radius of curvature slightly larger than the radius of each ball (8). The concave surface is shaped so that each ball (8) discharged from a ball rolling path (3) is scooped in a direction tangential to the screw line. The deflector (9) may be composed of a resin material.</p> |
