A self-propelled, dirigible agricultural vehicle (20) includes a height - adj ustable chassis (22) with an axle (30, 32) and a driven wheel hub (34). The axle is shiftable between a normal clearance position above the wheel hub (34) and a relatively higher elevated clearance position. The chassis (22) further includes a kingpin (74, 76) and a spacer section (78) that is removably connectable to the kingpin (74, 76). The axle (30, 32) is in the normal clearance position when the spacer is removed from the kingpin (74, 76) and is in the elevated clearance position when the spacer (78) is connected to the kingpin (74, 76).
