<p>Disclosed are a system, method, and program for the purpose of checking consistency of pointers in a hierarchical database, comprising an extraction unit for determining the type of a segment and the type of a pointer included in the segment from segment information of the database, and if the determination result has indicated that one parent segment and a plurality of child segments are in a parent-child relationship, extracting a parent pointer designating the parent segment in the plurality of child segments, a sibling pointer designating the next child segment in the plurality of child segments, and a child pointer designating the specific child segment in the parent segment; and a configuration for calculating a first hash value with a combination of the save destination address of the parent segment and the value of the child pointer, and the combination of the values of the parent pointer and the sibling pointer included in the child segment, calculating a second hash value from a combination of the save destination address of the child segment and the value of the parent pointer included in the child segment, and showing a consistency error if the two values differ.</p> |
