The system (100) has a symbol detecting unit (110) detecting symbols from received data. A log-likelihood-ratio calculation unit (120) calculates a logarithmic log-likelihood-ratio under application of the detected symbols and a Bahl-Cocke-Jelinek-Raviv-algorithm. A decoder (130) decodes the received data in correlation with the calculated logarithmic log-likelihood-ratio. A buffer (140) stores the received data. The decoder removes codeword data from the received data, when the codeword data exists in the received data. An independent claim is also included for a demodulation-and decoding method for demodulation and decoding of data in a receiver.
