<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an outboard motor which has a transmission, appropriately controls the operation of an internal combustion engine when changing a gear position at acceleration, and prevents the rotation of the engine from being blown up while improving acceleration performance immediately after the acceleration. <P>SOLUTION: The control device for the outboard motor which has the transmission controls the drive of an actuator (electric throttle motor) for opening and closing a throttle valve so as to set the engine speed NE of the internal combustion engine to a desired engine speed NEa determines whether acceleration is instructed to the internal combustion engine when the transmission selects a second speed (S30), controls the operation of the transmission so as to change a gear position from the second speed to a first speed when the acceleration is determined to be instructed (S46), and changes the desired engine speed NEa so that the output torque of the internal combustion engine is maximized when the gear position is changed from the second speed to the first speed (S48). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
