摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a hybrid electric vehicle which can efficiently perform power generation travel for generating power by an electric motor while traveling a vehicle by an engine and can excellently maintain a comprehensive fuel consumption rate during traveling when a traveling path has an upward slope. <P>SOLUTION: The control device for the hybrid electric vehicle determines an upward slope among traveling paths based on the traveling path previously registered by a navigation system 40, outputs generation travel torque Tg1 from the engine 2 before arriving the upward slope; and sets torque for driving an electric motor 6 working as a generator to upward slope electric motor torque Tm in the case that the engine 2 can output the generation travel torque Tg1 that is the sum of required torque Tr of a driver and the upward slope electric motor torque Tm distributed to the electric motor 6 on the upward slope where next arrival is predicted and a fuel consumption rate is more preferable when the engine 2 outputs the generation travel torque Tg1 than in the case that the engine outputs the required torque Tr. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
