<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fuel cell which is highly safe and easy to be handled and has excellent performance, and low in catalyst cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the solid polymer fuel cell including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte film formed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, the electrolyte film is an anion exchange film, a negative electrode catalyst is nickel, and fuel supplied to the negative electrode is a solution of an amine borane compound expressed by a chemical formula of R<SB>n</SB>NH<SB>3-n</SB>B<SB>m</SB>H<SB>2m+1</SB>. (In formula, R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group, n is an integer of 0-3, m is 1 or 3, however, it is preferable that a nitrogen-containing cyclic structure may be formed by mutually combining two sets or three sets of R together with a nitrogen atom.). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
