<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell, in which gas or a cooling medium is restrained from leaking from a non-power generation cell to an outside or the like, and excellent in power generation performance, in one equipped with a non-power generation cell at end parts of a power generation area with power generation cells laminated. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell 100 is made by arranging a non-power generation cell 40 not equipped with a membrane electrode assembly at the end parts in a cell lamination direction of a power generation area consisting of a plurality of power generation cells 50. The non-power generation cell 40 has a laminate structure with a gas bypass layer 10 having a separation plate 12, and separators 11, 13 each having concave grooves pinching the separation plate 12, a heat insulation material layer 20 equipped with a heat insulation material 21 with conductivity, and a third separator 30. The second separator 13 is arranged further at a power generation cell 50 side than the separation plate 12, with a linear expansion coefficient of the second separator 13 greater than that of the separation plate 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
