<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow recording of a moving image, captured with proper exposure, even if a start instruction of moving-image recording is issued in a state that live view display is not performed. <P>SOLUTION: If a start instruction of moving-image recording is detected while live view display is not performed, an imaging apparatus automatically sets a combination of exposure parameters allowing it to obtain proper exposure about subject luminance.
