<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of improving the efficiency of transmission of an optical signal. <P>SOLUTION: An optical waveguide substrate 11 has an optical waveguide 30 that transmits an optical signal for a light emitting device 40 and a photodetector 50. In addition, the optical waveguide substrate 11 has a wiring pattern 21, which is electrically connected to the light emitting device 40, and a component 41, which is installed on the wiring pattern 21 on the end side of the optical waveguide 30 and supports the light emitting device 40.
