PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning direction indicator device mainly employed for various controls of an automobile which suppresses a hitting noise produced by the cam body and a release element, and operates reliably. SOLUTION: A rear wall part 25G having projections on a plane or at least both outsides in a direction substantially orthogonal to a vertical direction is provided on the undersurface of a cam body 25. An energizing spring 6 is brought into elastic contact with the rear wall part 25G to energize the cam body 25 rearward. When an operation lever 3 is rotated and held in a first or second operating position by energization, a clearance can be secured between the front cam part 25D and release body 7. When the cam body 25 rotationally energized by the energizing spring 6 to return to a neutral position, the energizing spring 6 is brought into elastic contact with the rear wall part 25G to stop the rotation of the cam body 25 and prevent the front cam part 25D from coming into collision with the release body 7.
