PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gathering apparatus capable of eliminating necessity of checking presence of loading paper at a changing portion of a work group, especially on a paper feeding portion and capable of completely preventing erroneous operation. SOLUTION: Paper feeding part operational information such as use/no use of a paper feeding part, continuously feeding part pair and thinning paper feeding, and number of gathering paper and gathering order for each work group are stored in a memory for each work group. At gathering, gathering is implemented according to the paper feeding part operational information of the memory for each gathering order. When the number of group gathering paper is reached, the gathering operation is automatically stopped. By restart operation, the paper feeding part operational information is automatically read out from the memory of the work group of the next order for gathering operation. When the number of the gathering paper of the work group is reached, automatic stop is implemented and then restart operation is repeated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
