PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of selectively controlling devices or the like in a specific area, in which operation is set based on a route through which an individual carrying a portable terminal device passes, based on information that the individual passes an arbitrary position. SOLUTION: The present invention includes an authentication system (141) for detecting passing of a user; a control system (121) for controlling operation of a device to be controlled in accordance with an authentication position that the user passes; and a database (111) holding the authentication position that the user passes, operation content of the device to be controlled and user information. If the authentication system detects that the user has passed an arbitrary authentication position, under control of the control system, the operation of the device to be controlled held in the database is controlled in association with the user information.
