PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus and a communication method, capable of improving the convenience of a user further. SOLUTION: The communication apparatus (100) has a WLAN-setting data storage module (172) for storing data for setting WLAN, and a WOL-setting data storage module(182) for storing beforehand WOL-setting data for setting a WOL function between an external apparatus. The communication apparatus transmits and receives data to and from the external apparatus on the basis of the data stored in the WLAN-setting data storage medium, and registers the external apparatus as an enrollee.
