PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which cut of a sealing material is suppressed, and a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the liquid crystal display device 10 including a first step of preparing a pair of substrates for a liquid crystal display panel, a second step of applying the sealing material 17 using a seal dispenser by a prescribed application pattern around the display area of one of the pair of substrates, and a third step of sticking the pair of substrates together, The application track of the sealing material 17 is formed while moving the seal dispenser so as to generate a part 20 where a part 18b where the sealing material 17 is applied later is in contact with or superimposed on a part 18a where it is applied first.
