The present invention discloses a method and device for splicing images, it relates to the field of image processing technology, and the present invention solves the problem that the homography matrix in the prior art needs images with overlap area or video sequence. The embodiments of the present invention include the following steps: determining the spatial relation parameter between two scenes firstly; and obtaining the spatial relation parameter between two cameras which shooting said two scenes respectively and the inner parameters of said two cameras; then performing calculation for obtaining the homography matrix between said shooted images by using said spatial relation parameter between two scenes, the spatial relation parameter between the cameras and the inner parameters of the cameras; mapping the images shooted by said two cameras to the same coordinate system according to the homography matrix to composite an image. The embodiments of the present invention are mainly used for the calculation of the homography matrix between two images, especially the calculation of the homography matrix during the process of splicing the images. |
