The disclosed electrode manufacturing system has a coating unit which forms a coated area and a non-coated area on a metal foil by applying a coating of an active substance mixture, a drying unit which dries the metal foil coated in the aforementioned coating unit, and a punching unit which punches multiple electrodes from the metal foil dried in the aforementioned drying unit. Electrode manufacturing systems of the prior art entailed drying a coated active substance mixture and subsequently measuring the thickness thereof. As a consequence,there was a need for highly accurate measurements. Moreover, defective areas were identified, and regardless of whether the dimensions of these defective areas were in the order of several cm2 or several m2, these were treated as defects and eliminated, which caused poor production efficiency. This electrode manufacturing system resolves these problems by measuring the film thickness of the active substance mixture before drying, and making it possible to eliminate defective areas with variations in film thickness of the active substance mixture automatically and with a high degree of accuracy by using start point marks and end-point marks. |
