Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and device for processing interface data, which relate to the field of communications and enable the interworking of internal resources and management between 2G and 3G networks, wherein, the 2G and 3G networks can share parts of message flows, and thereby the purpose of optimizing the signaling structure is achieved. The solution is that: data is processed through a uniform interface protocol stack, and the control plane application layer of the uniform interface protocol stack includes a Base Station System Application Part (BSSAP) protocol layer used for carrying communications between the Mobile Switching Center(MSC) and the Base Station Controller (BSC), and/or a Radio Access Network Application Part (RANAP) protocol layer used for carrying communications between the MSC and the Radio Network Controller (RNC), and a Uniform Radio access network Application Part (URAP) protocol layer; the URAP protocol layer is used for processing the information which is in accord with the BSSAP protocol layer or the RANAP protocol layer in said data; the BSSAP protocol layer and/or the RANAP protocol layer are at the same layer, and are adjacent to the URAP protocol layer, and the URAP protocol layer is adjacent to the control plane transport layer of the uniform interface protocol stack. |
