<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb and an apparatus for cleaning exhaust, capable of improving the removal rate of NO<SB>x</SB>, in a SCR system. <P>SOLUTION: The honeycomb 10 includes a honeycomb unit 11 comprising zeolite and an inorganic binder and comprised of a plurality of through-holes 11a separated by a separation wall 11b and parallelly extending in the longitudinal direction thereof. The zeolite includes zeolite ion-exchanged with at least one species of first metal selected from the group consisting of Cu, Mn, Ag, and V and zeolite ion-exchanged with at least one species of second metal selected from the group consisting of Fe, Ti, and Co. The mass of the first metal contained in a first area A beginning from one end part of the honeycomb unit 11 and occupying not less than 30% and not more than 70% of the total length in the longitudinal direction thereof, is greater than the mass of the second metal contained therein, and the mass of the second metal contained in a second area B exclusive of the first area A is greater than the mass of the first metal contained therein. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
