<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photovoltaic power generation system, capable of having high reliability by virtue of a simply-structured drive unit, and of automatically tracking the sun without requiring an extra space for the drive unit. <P>SOLUTION: The photovoltaic power generation system includes: a solar cell that directly converts the energy of sunlight into electric power by means of the photovoltaic effect; an electrostatic actuator that has a flexible mover for moving the solar cell and a flexible stator; and a control means that controls the position of the solar cell to increase the efficiency of conversion by operating the electrostatic actuator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
